Why Public Access Defibrillation
(PAD)?

Every year, in the Americas alone, 2 million people die from cardiovascular disease

In the event of cardiac arrest, every minute counts:
the chances of survival decrease by 10 to 12% per minute without medical attention

Public Access
Defibrillators Can Save Lives

We are pioneers in the development
of heart-safe zones in Venezuela

We operate based on three core principles:

AED Installation: We install Automated External Defibrillators

Monitoring: We monitor their proper functioning and ensure
that our emergency response team is just a phone call away

Training: We prepare communities by training them
to act as first responders and save lives

They are easy and safe to use

Make sure the situation is safe for you and the patient

Check for a pulse by gently pressing on the neck next to the windpipe

If there is NO pulse, call emergency services and begin CPR by performing 120 compressions per minute

Remove the AED.
Once opened, it will turn on automatically.

Prepare the patient. Remove
the patient's upper-body clothing and check that the skin
is clean and dry

Apply the patches firmly.
Adults: RA (Apex) patch: below the left nipple,
on the left anterior axillary line.
LL (Sternum) patch: below
the right clavicle, next to the sternum

Apply the patches firmly.
Children: Blue patch (Apex):
on the midline of the chest.
Red patch: on the midline
of the back

When the AED prompts you,
press the shock button, making sure no one
is touching the victim

After the accident, continue CPR and follow the AED’s instructions until help arrives or the victim’s pulse returns
